Mobile Nirvana: So Very Close

I’ve been looking for mobile nirvana for awhile now, and I think I’m close. Really close. I’m hoping to build a setup / process / workflow where I can do 90% of my work remote (ie, anywhere). That other 10% I can build into any project to ensure it’s completed.

Three new pieces entered my mobile arsenal over the past ten days:

  • WINGStand
  • Pico Projector
  • Gum Plus Power Pack

These additions, coupled with a few other pieces, have allowed me to get pretty close to my goal of 90%. Here’s how it’s working.

News Flash: Moving Still Sucks

You may already know this, but it might have been a long time since you last moved. I can confirm that moving still sucks.

And I don’t mean moving homes, but moving basically anything. It’s an incredible drain on productivity (at least in the short run), not to mention the amazing amount of stress it puts on the mind and body.

Top Five iPad Apps for Freelancers

I use my iPad for both consuming and creating stuff. With the addition of a few accessories (bluetooth keyboard and a stylus), it’s become my main computer.

I do still use my MacBook Pro when I need to hop on Photoshop for some creative work or Excel to do some number crunching. But even the need to use these apps on the computer are starting to dwindle. Yes, the screen is small. Yes, multi-tasking can sometimes be lacking. But the benefits of taking my work with me far outweights these potential challenges.

Why An iPad Is Better Than A Laptop

With all the hoopla and criticism of Apple’s iPad, there may be something hidden in the way the device is structured to help us become more productive.
