The Milan v. Barcelona match will probably get most of the coverage but I’m curious to see how Chelsea holds up. After last night’s crash and burn by both Manchester clubs, they are the last English club playing in Europe.

Suarez v. Evra: Haven’t We Had Enough?
Shouldn’t we just let this go?
Evra was clever at Old Trafford. Luis didn’t shake his hand because Evra’s hand was down there. What else is Luis supposed to do? Would you go to shake someone’s hand if their hand is way down there by their side? Course not.
But then, because Luis didn’t do it, Evra has pulled him back by his arm as he walked on, as if to say to everybody: ‘Look, I wanted to shake his hand and he didn’t…”’
Evra probably stayed up all night thinking about how to do that. The whole thing was ridiculous.

Even as a Liverpool fan, my first thought was to carry on. Haven’t we had enough of this? It’s probably just some fallout. Maybe even something that was mentioned in passing and is now being dug up.
Ooh. But what if Johnson had a point?
Kickstarting In The Basement
I’m fascinated with technology. Especially when technology helps small businesses compete on nearly the same level as their larger competitors and peers. The goal with this series is to promote all the goodness of using free / low-cost technology pieces to help support and promote small businesses.
I met Roger on the soccer field. I can’t remember which group it was – we play all over the city (Harlem, Upper West Side, Indoors, Outdoors) – and I don’t remember how we actually met. But since then, we’ve met up with Roger and Carlin for birthdays, New Years Eve, World Cup Finals, Hot Sauce launches, and our favorite – movie nights. Nothing beats a night with food and wine, and one of Roger’s movies.
As an independent filmmaker, I thought he’d be an interesting person to learn how technology works in different organizations and industries.
You can find Roger on Tumblr.
Who Ate All The Pies?
The reason people love football is not just the actual game, but the buzz and the sounds of being there…
New York Times: Soccer’s Sound of Team Spirit
We met some colleagues a few years ago at a New York Red Bulls game. It was a good one, too – the Los Angeles Galaxy (with Donovan, Beckham, et al) were visiting and it was one of Thierry Henry’s first games with New York, along with Rafa Marquez. A great game to catch.
Italy v. USA
The United States plays Italy tomorrow in Genoa. With the recent roster moves due to injury, the US team might be in a bit of a hole, but I think they’ll do well.
A few meaningless thoughts ahead of the game…
